Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AionFlex desktop application and the website at aionflex.gg(collectively, the “Service”), provided by AionFlex (“we”, “us”, “our”). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • “Application” — the AionFlex desktop software for Windows.
  • “License Key” — an alphanumeric code that unlocks the Application.
  • “Free Tier” — the version of the Application available without payment, with limited features.
  • “Pro Tier” — the paid subscription that unlocks all Application features.
  • “Paddle” — Paddle.com Market Limited, the Merchant of Record for all purchases.

2. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on a single device for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license is conditioned on your compliance with these Terms.

You may not:

  • Redistribute, sublicense, sell, or lease the Application or any License Key.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks in the Application.
  • Use the Application for any purpose that violates applicable law or the terms of service of AION 2.
  • Share, publish, or transfer your License Key to another person.

3. Account & License

Each License Key is bound to a single hardware device upon first activation. You may deactivate and transfer your license to a different device up to 3 times per 30-day period. Abuse of the deactivation system (e.g., automated cycling to share a single license across multiple users) constitutes a violation of these Terms and may result in license revocation without refund.

4. Subscriptions & Payment

Pro Tier subscriptions are billed through Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Paddle’s Checkout Buyer Terms.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly, quarterly, or annually) unless cancelled.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
  • Prices are listed in EUR and include applicable taxes (calculated and collected by Paddle based on your location).

5. Refunds

Refunds are handled by Paddle in accordance with their Refund Policy and applicable consumer protection laws. Please see our Refund Policy page for details.

6. Free Tier & Data Sharing

The Free Tier requires consented data sharing (character snapshots) as part of the service definition. A consent dialog is presented on first launch. If you decline, the Application will not start. You may withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the Application and requesting data deletion at support@aionflex.gg.

Pro Tier users may opt out of data sharing at any time via the Settings toggle without any loss of functionality.

7. Intellectual Property

The Application, its source code, UI design, and associated documentation are owned by AionFlex and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. AION 2, AION, and related trademarks are the property of NCsoft Corporation. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCsoft.

8. Third-Party Services

The Application interacts with NCsoft’s AION 2 game client by reading network packets. We do not modify, inject into, or alter the game client or its files in any way. Use of the Application is at your own risk regarding NCsoft’s terms of service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AIONFLEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in abuse, fraud, or conduct harmful to other users. Upon termination, your License Key will be revoked and you must uninstall the Application. Sections 7, 9, 10, and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Application or the website at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
